Fine lines. White on black. It all seems to be the work of the hand of the artist who, with graphite, draws according to inspiration. But no. What we see is neither pencil nor charcoal, but oily solvents gently run on carbon-coated glass plates. The forces of Nature such as gravity, the viscosity of oils and the speed of movement come into play. The elegance of simple gestures and the refinement of the features give a great charm to the image. Like waves of the sea, the marks left by chemical reactions transmit harmony to us. A harmony that cradles us and gently pushes us into another, almost dreamlike dimension, where one is alone with the work and contemplates it almost like a mantra. You are completely absorbed. Clean lines, of different shapes, which in part come into contrast without breaking the balance of the photograph. They almost seem to represent the inner disagreements of the human being. Different thoughts that, at a given moment, come into contact and disturb us. A confusion not necessarily negative, but from which new ideas, new creations and a new harmony can be born.Testo realizzato dalla studentessa Giulia Saiani, Accademia di Belle Arti Santa Giulia di Brescia
